Gemadept inaugurating Nam Hai Đinh Vu Port

In the morning of May 06th, 2014 Gemadept solemnly organized the opening ceremony of Nam Hai Dinh Vu Port at Km 6, Dong Hai 2 Ward, Hai An District, Hai Phong city. Actually witnessing the port operation right after the band cutting ceremony, Vice President of Hai Phong City, Vice Director of Vinamarine, Ship owners, Loyal customers… had positive evaluation and comment on the contribution of the port to the area development, bringing more benefits and solutions to the customers during port operation.

 

Nam Hai Dinh Vu port is a big and important project of Gemadept Corporation in the North, having VND 1,000 billion investment, 3 times bigger in size than Nam Hai Port with 450m berth and 150,000m2 yard. The port is newly and synchronously invested with 2 modern QCs and 2 SWL cranes, enabling to accommodate 30,000 DWT vessel. Commencing from March 2012, after one year construction, Nam Hai Dinh Vu Port was completed and put into operation on December 10th, 2013, officially welcomed the 1st vessel on the new year days of 2014.
 
The deployment of Nam Hai Dinh Vu port properly ensures the business schedule and strategic development of Gemadept Corporation in the north market to increase the service quality, intensify service solution and benefit to promptly meet customer’s need as well as improve current overloaded situation at Hai Phong area. This is an important chain in the next development strategy of Gemadept Corporation to develop the port and logistics network along the national coastline in the big cities, key economic zones and even extend to South East Asia countries in the future.
