{"id":5932,"date":"2022-12-25T07:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-12-25T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gemadeptshipping.vn\/gemalink-one-of-the-seaports-with-the-deepest-draft-in-vietnam\/"},"modified":"2022-12-25T07:00:00","modified_gmt":"2022-12-25T00:00:00","slug":"gemalink-one-of-the-seaports-with-the-deepest-draft-in-vietnam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gemadeptshipping.vn\/en\/gemalink-one-of-the-seaports-with-the-deepest-draft-in-vietnam\/","title":{"rendered":"Gemalink \u2013 One of the seaports with the deepest draft in Vietnam"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>On December 19th 2022, the Southern Vietnam Maritime Safety Corporation announced the technical specifications of the water area in front of Gemalink Deep-sea Port phase 1, reaching a depth of 16.5 meters.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With a water depth of 16.5 meters in front of the berth, Gemalink deep-sea port is one of the seaports with the deepest draft in Vietnam, and with this specification, Gemalink port is one of the few seaports has a strong attraction to shipping lines, especially those operating mother vessels with a tonnage of up to 250,000DWT &#8211; the world&#39;s largest container vessel size to optimize operational efficiency nowadays.<\/p>\n<p>Since being put into operation in early 2021, Gemalink deep-sea port has always been a bright spot in Cai Mep &#8211; Thi Vai Port area, a cluster of ports ranked 11 out of 370 efficient ports by the World Bank. At the beginning of the spring of 2022, Gemalink port set a record in Vietnam&#39;s port industry with a throughput of 1 million TEUs after being put into operation for more than a year.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"easyimage easyimage-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" sizes=\"100vw\" src=\"https:\/\/gemadeptshipping.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/imported-image-1739159487.webp\" srcset=\"\" width=\"968\" \/><figcaption><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><em>Gemalink deep-sea port is a reliable destination for leading shipping lines in the world such as CMA-CGM, Cosco-OOCL, Evergreen, Maersk Line, MSC&#8230;&nbsp; <\/em><\/p>\n<p>In order to improve service quality, satisfy market&#39;s demand and increase the capacity of the Port &#8211; Logistics ecosystem, Gemadept and its partners are implementing procedures to kick-off construction of Phase 2 of Gemalink Deepsea Port in 2023.
